APRIL 2010
Come and experience the arts in Seychelles in all its brilliant facets. Some of the highlights of this year’s festival include: “Arts in Creation”, solo exhibitions featuring the works of local artists; “Nou Leritaz Mizikal”, a workshop where you - the participant - can learn how to play two of the most traditional musical instruments of Seychelles, namely the ‘tanbour sega’ (sega drum) and ‘tanbour moutya’ (moutya drum).
Other noteable events are “Sound of Seychelles”, a musical show and dance performance; full-length plays with local story telling and poems; and a “Gourmet Evening” where you can feast on the gastronomic creations of ten selected chefs from local hotels.
This event organised by the National Arts Council in collaboration with the Ministry of Community Development, Youth, Sports and Culture seeks to encourage creative expression and participation for all, through the provision of practical activities, exhibitions, performances, forums, and workshops.
