ROAD TUNNEL PLANNED UNDER DELHI AIRPORT


Authorities in Delhi are planning to build a six-lane road underneath the main runway of India Gandhi International Airport, The Times of India has reported.

The road will allow access to the airport’s new Terminal 3, which is planning to open three months from now.
The new link will be about 1.5km long with a 343m tunnel section under the runway. The total cost will be approximately INR650 million (US$14 million), the report added.
